Tip: Get Ready to Start Your Holiday Baking! It's that time of year again...already! It's time to start thinking about and preparing for your holiday baking! Although many websites and cookbooks will state that spices "last" I've found that the best spices are fresh spices! Take some time to look through your favorite holiday recipes, for both meal and dessert items, and make a list of the spices, flavorings, and extracts that you are going to need. Check your supply. If you have un-opened bottles, jars, or packages, then check the expiration date. If still current, then these are OK to use. For everything else, make a list for your next shopping trip to the market (or use the FREE PRINTABLE list). While you are checking your recipes, now is also a great time to make a list of nuts, raisins, fruits, and other items you'll need to bake your special holiday recipes. Most markets will have great sales all through the month of November, so take advantage of advertised sales (and coupons!). Good Luck...and Happy Baking!
